What Egyptian Teachers Need

 When we finish college we typically think we have all the necessary knowledge to start teaching. This what our society make us think. But when we're actually in the classroom,we have to modify everything we learned according to our class needs. We realize we need training, sharing ideas, reading on teaching and exprimenting.

We teach our students and we re taught by them.We have to keep our eyes,our ears and our heart open in order to provide them with the best education!

Teaching used to be a 'VOCATION'. Years ago, in the Arab World and specifically in Egypt, teachers had a social or community status higher than anybody else. Society has changed and the  standards of being a teacher also changed. Many teachers do not teach their specialty. Some teachers are not qualified at all. 

The society and teacher's role in our society has changed so much.  Teachers used to be well respected by their students and the families. Parents used to support teachers more when it came to their child's education. Teachers need to be motivated to want to become better.  Now teachers are not respected at all. 

We need a better reward system!! A lot of teachers say so. I agree but what what we need more is training, practicing what learn and support of the parents and the system.
