The Egyptian Teacher's Role

A teacher is a guide and "push".  Besides teaching, a good educator will understand her students' way of intake (learning). She will place lots of emphasis on feedback given to students' assignment.
A teacher is a guide, facilitator, advisor, but a great teacher tries to understand his/her students and he / she can modifies their style of teaching to suit the students.
Teaching English is a challenge. English is not the students' first language. They do not understand the culture. They also feel that can use English to speak about there lives.
Egyptian students are smart. The real challenge is that they are not that motivated. One of the ways I feel it motivates them is giving examples about how English can be used to speak about real Egyptians like Bargekaa and his life in Gamalia an exercise that can be done to let students believe that English can really speak about Egyptians.
