TED is a
non-profit concerned about the development of humanity. It is devoted to Ideas
Worth Spreading. It started out as an annual conference on Technology,
Entertainment and Design. It also comprises an extensive set of events and
activities crafted to create a difference in the world. Many celebrities gave
inspiring talks, some not related to their fields. Among the most famous are Al
Gore, Bill Clinton, Bill Gates, and Elizabeth Gilbert. The videos are uploaded
for free.
Ted X are
independent events that follow the idea of ted. The best aspect about TED is
that it covers all fields.
I use TED
talks for both professional development and language teaching. It is really
helpful. Recommended.
